FAQ's

The premier racing event of Pagosa, in the pristine San Juan Mountains, brings you three great races. First, the original Full Duathlon with a 6 mile run/12 mile mountain bike ride. Then, the Half-Du with 3 mile run/7 mile ride. You can ‘du’ either race as a two-member team or take them on solo. Last, the Mini-Du for our younger athletes, with a ½- mile run/1 mile ride. All participants receive an official race t-shirt, food to re-fuel and prizes. Special awards for the top 3 finishers.

Mini-Du Kids Fun Race: 8:00am
Adult Half & Full Duathlons: 8:30am

Driving Directions:

From Highway 160 turn onto Piedra Road (CR 600) – follow Piedra Road for 6.3 miles. Turn left (just past cattle guard) onto FS Road 629/Turkey Springs Road. Continue on FS Road 629 for 2.1 miles until reaching Monument Park Road. This junction is the start and finish line, staging and registration area.

Course Information:

Race routes integrate beginner and intermediate levels of single-track trails, dirt and gravel roads. The venue of the San Juan National Forest could not be more perfect for athletes as they trek through aspen groves, grassy fields, and the dreaded rocky Piedra Stock driveway. The course is fast, testing each competitor’s endurance, speed and ability.
